Michael was born in 1962 in Merton, Surrey, England, but lived for the majority of his life in Suffolk. He worked as draughtsman, computer trainer and team leader at Eastern Electricity and also as a Dispatch Assistant at M&H Plastics. He moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA in December 2007 and is currently employed as a concierge at a local hospital. Michael has two daughters, Rhianna Mae & Layla Marie, one son, Ryan George and a granddaughter Alicia Marie
